Quick Overview

Quick Overview:

Carro ensures seamless synchronization between suppliers and retailers by automatically keeping key product details in sync while allowing retailers the flexibility to customize others.

Synced:

Price:

By default, prices are kept in sync unless otherwise agreed upon with your partner. To learn more about price-changing options, click HERE.

NOTE: when the supplier makes a price change, it can take up to 5 minutes for that to be reflected in the retailer's store.

Inventory:

Inventory is synced automatically between the supplier and the retailer. For example, if the supplier sells out, the item would also be sold out in the retailer's store.

NOTE: By default, there's a stock buffer of 5 in place for all partnerships. Carro checks the supplier's inventory levels every hour and displays products as "out of stock" on the retailer's site when inventory sells down to 5 units to avoid overselling.

For suppliers: Click here to learn how to adjust your stock buffer on Carro.

Inventory Settings (Continue Selling When Out of Stock & Track Inventory):

Read more about how inventory settings interact with Carro here.

Not Synced:

Once a retailer adds supplier products to their store, the below product attributes are not kept in sync. In other words, if the supplier updates these fields, it will not change anything in the retailer's store. Carro does this to give retailers the freedom to edit products to fit their store's theme and experience, without overriding changes.

  • Title

  • Description

  • Images

  • Newly created variants

  • Barcode (ISBN, UPC, GTIN, etc.)

How to Update Product Information:

For the retailer to retrieve the most up-to-date version of a partner product:

Option 1: The retailer can delete the product from Shopify and then re-add the product through Carro.

Option 2: The supplier can send the retailer the udpated materials via email and the retailer can update the products manually in Shopify.
