Quick Overview:
Using the Flat Rate Shipping tool, suppliers can set shipping fees and free shipping thresholds for items they sell.
Retailers need to review and approve these shipping rates. The retailer has the option to allow Carro to automatically create a new Shopify shipping profile in their Shopify, ensuring that the correct shipping amount is charged to their customers.
Right now, these rates only apply to new partnerships. To apply shipping rates to existing partnerships, please reach out to Carro support via Intercom or email (support@getcarro.com).
For Suppliers: How to set Shipping Rates
1. Click on the "gear" icon on the left-hand navigation column.
2. Click on "Supplier" under the Settings title.
3. Set your rates.
NOTE: Make sure to check the box to enable the shipping rate.
4. Click "Save" & "I understand".
TIP: Suppliers that charge $0 for U.S. shipping or less than $5 attract the most retailers.

1. How do I apply my shipping rates to existing partners?
Contact your partner via email, using the contact information found in your Partners tab, to request shipping payment. Once the retailer approves your rates, please forward the agreement to Carro (support@getcarro.com) and we can enable shipping for that partnership.
2. Can suppliers set a free shipping threshold?
Yes, suppliers can set free shipping thresholds for both domestic and international orders:

The free shipping threshold is based on the price of the supplier's products in the customer's cart.
4. As a supplier, can I block international orders?
Yes - if you leave the international shipping fields blank, international customers will not be able to purchase the products.
5. Does this require the retailer to have a particular setup?
No, the retailer will be presented with your rates when they attempt to add their first product from your listing in Carro. Once approved, Carro will automatically create a new shipping profile in the retailer's Shopify to ensure the shipping costs are passed onto the customer.
6. Can shipping be adjusted on a per-partnership basis, or does it have to be the same for each partnership?
Yes, but the agreement would need to be formed outside of Carro (via email) and then forwarded to Carro support for us to set up the custom rate.
7. Can suppliers collect $0 for shipping but add a shipping method?
Yes, put 0 as the amount and add a shipping description.
8. Can suppliers set more than one rate for domestic or international orders?
No, it's a single rate for all domestic and a single rate for all international orders.
9. Is the partnership revenue split based on the item price plus shipping?
No, shipping is calculated separately. The revenue split is based on the price paid by the customer for the product(s).
