What is the Products Tab?

As a supplier, can I choose which products are available to retailers? How to make products available or unavailable to Carro.

Quick Overview:


The Products tab allows suppliers to manage which of their products are available in the Carro Directory. All of your products will be listed in the Products tab, but only the ones set to Active will be visible/available to the Carro network.

Here's how to access the Products Tab: Click on the "box" icon on the left-hand navigation column.

During supplier onboarding, you'll be taken to the Products Tab to select the products from your store that you'd like to sell through Carro.

Any products that are already available to your Online Store sales channel will be pre-selected. However, you have full control to remove or add additional products.


Selling Status:


Products can be either “Active” or “Inactive”. A product must be Active to sell on Carro. Inactive products can't be found in the directory or sold by a partner.

Changing this status will affect both existing and future partners.

Change the status of one or many products by selecting them with these checkboxes. You’ll then be able to set them as Active or Inactive.

Note: this only applies to Carro and changes here will not impact your own Shopify store.


Add Products:


1. Select all or individual products.

2. Click "Set as Active".

3. Click "Yes, make active".

4. Complete! Confirm by checking the selling status.


Remove Products:


WARNING: Setting a product as Inactive will teardown that product from any of your retail partner's stores. During the final confirmation, Carro will list any impacted partners if applicable.

1. Select all or individual products.

2. Click "Set as Inactive".

3. Click "Yes, make inactive".

4. Complete! Confirm by checking the selling status.


Here's a Few Tips:


1. At any time after onboarding, suppliers can navigate to the Products tab by clicking on the "box" icon on the left-hand navigation column.

2. For best results, use the Product tab to manage your product's availability, rather than through Shopify's interface.

  • If a product is available to the Carro Sales Channel through Shopify, but not through the Carro Product tab, the product will not be active in the Carro network. In order for the product to be active in Carro, it must be active on the Product tab.

  • If you make a product available to the Carro Sales Channel through Shopify, it will automatically make that product active in Carro.

  • If you make a product un-available to the Carro Sales Channel through Shopify, it will remove the product from the Carro app.

3. Use the filters:

  • To quickly identify what product(s) you're looking for, use the collection or tag filters, or search by name.

  • You can also filter by status to find all Active or Inactive products. We recommend checking this periodically to make sure your Carro catalog is up to date.

4. You can click on a product to drill down to a variant level view, however, this has no function in this current iteration (more coming soon!).
